This section comprises functions that basically work at dataset level. For some functions like Search and Replace header data and species data, it is required that a dataset is open. Other functions like Adding indicators values, diversity indices and GIS attribute data, or Classification of plot observations with ASSOCIA or EXPERT, do not require an open dataset and can actually work on any level within the database (database, dataset group, taxonomy and dataset). For example, selecting the database name in the index will result in calculated diversity indices for all plot observations in the database.
