This information is for administrators who will manage shared (protected) databases and have to set user profiles for accessing the database.

Note that protected database can be accessed by users as guest without using a password. In such case users can only view, select and export data.

 

Steps to be taken:

•Install Turboveg and run it. The first time a small database file is created, users.sqlite. In this database user profiles will be stored.
In case Turboveg is already installed delete the database file sqlite.sqlite and run Turboveg. Users.sqlite will be created automatically.

•In the menu select MANAGE, Users.

•Set the adminstrator password.

•For added users select MANAGE, Users once more.

 

Only protected databases need a login. Via the menu option DATA, Protect database a database can be protected.
