Whatever procedure is chosen to select plot observations from the database, the selected element in the index determines which part of the database will be queried. There are four levels on which selections can take place. However, this can be overruled by the explicit selection of datasets that need to be queried, by ticking the check boxes. The various options are described below.
Database level
The whole database will be queried.
Dataset group level
Only those datasets will be queried that belong to the selected dataset group.
Taxonomy level
Only those datasets that belong to the selected taxonomy within the corresponding dataset group, will be queried.
Dataset level
Only the selected dataset will be queried
Explicit selection of datasets
By ticking the check boxes specific datasets can be selected to be queried.
